Q: What is a spiritual healer?
A: A spiritual healing medium is a person whose finely-attuned psychic abilities allow him to channel spirit energies from the Source of All Power - The Creator - into the souls of those who are suffering from any form of dis-harmony or dis-ease.
Q: What kind of character traits do you think a true healer might possess?
A: Genuine spiritual healers are gentle and loving people with compassionate and kindly natures. They are sympathetic souls who desire to soothe and comfort those in distress. They nurse the sick, offer friendship to the lonely and give solace to the suffering and the grieving. All true healers are patient, caring and empathetic individuals who are dedicated to the great spiritual work of rendering service to others.
Q: What kind of lifestyle should a healer follow?
A: The most effective spiritual healers are those who try to live a cleaner, healthier lifestyle and who try to cleanse their bodies and minds of as many impurities as possible.
Conscientious spiritual healers would not pollute their systems with unnecessary drugs or alcohol; and they would not indulge in the life-threatening habit of smoking. In fact, they would probably campaign against those spiritual churches and centres throughout the world that foolishly allow people to smoke in their healing sessions.
Neither would they allow the coarse psychic vibrations contained in meat - which is, after all, decaying flesh - to enter their bodies
The more physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually pure the healer, the greater will be the amount of the Creator-Power that can flow through him or her. I've outlined in more detail the main psychic guidelines concerning health and spiritual healing in one of my audio cassettes. Heal Yourself, and Gain Peace of Mind and Freedom from Stress*. Q: Could I learn to heal?
A: Yes, spiritual healing is a form of mediumship, which can best be developed under the watchful eye and expert guidance of reputable healers whom you may contact in your own area. (Libraries and Internet directories may lead you to them.)
But be sensible and read as much good literature as you can. The late and renowned English healer Harry Edwards has written several informative volumes about spiritual healing, many of which are still in print. (See Recommended Reading.)
Join a nationally recognised healing organisation. All reputable healing organisations have published Codes of Practice; and healers would be wise to follow them.
Q: Why do my hands feel hot or cold when I'm healing?
A: These are only physical reactions to spiritual and psychic rays and powers. However, healing may still take place even when you feel no sensations, or think that nothing unusual is happening.
Q: Should I tell my patients about the clairvoyant messages my guide wants me to give to them while we're administering healing?
A: No; and I would advise you to ask your spirit guide to concentrate more on the healing process rather than on the relaying of survival evidence. Neither of you should give clairvoyance during treatment because this ability operates on a different psychic wavelength or vibration to spiritual healing. If necessary, your survival evidence may be given afterwards.
Q: Should I tell a patient he's going to pass over, if my spirit friends confirm this?
A: No, because you cannot ever be certain of how your patient would react; such a staggering thought could psychologically disturb or deeply depress him. You would operate more effectively if you just gave your healing treatment and kept your counsel to yourself.
Q: As a healer, should I diagnose illnesses?
A: You are a spiritual healer, not a doctor. Many sufferers are emotionally vulnerable, particularly if they've sought out your help after the medical profession has given up all hope of them making a recovery. Your spirit friends can see your patient's physical ailments reflected in his or her aura, and they'll do their best to treat them. In Great Britain it is illegal to diagnose someone's medical condition unless you are a qualified doctor.
Q: How does the laying-on-of-hands work?
A: It is not essential, of course, for the attuned healer to touch his patient, for healing can be achieved by prayer and the mighty power of thought alone. (This is how I treat many patients across the world today). Spiritual healing energies travel from the Great Spirit, through the spirit of the healer, and into the spirit of the sufferer. From here, these rays can then redress any vibrational imbalance within the individual's energy fields, and this re-harmonising or re-tuning effect will then mirror itself onto the patient's physical body, and healing may take place.
Q: Why do some patients pass over, or fail to respond to spiritual healing?
A: When it is time for a person to make his transition, nothing will prevent his going - though spiritual healing could ease his pain and help him to leave the Earth more peacefully and with greater dignity. Most respected spirit guides teach that we can only receive exactly what we have earned for ourselves spiritually, which could be why people sometimes fail to respond to any form of medical or healing treatment.
But even if a physical cure is not effected by a spiritual healer this doesn't mean that the patient's soul has not been touched or educated by the experience.
Q: Do you think we suffer illness as a result of our Karma; that we experience the pain we have personally brought about in our lives through the universal law of cause and effect?
A: Opinions are divided on this difficult question, but I believe that we attract to ourselves all forms of physical, mental, emotional, and psychic dis-ease through the 'hidden', spiritual forces of Karma at work - no matter how unpalatable this idea might seem to us at first.
Q: What is the ultimate purpose of giving spiritual healing?
A: Strangely enough, the true objective of all spiritual healing is not to cure or to heal the patient, but to help him to realise that he possesses a living and eternal spiritual link with his Divine Creator, The Great Spirit; to realise that he is a part of Creative Intelligence.
Spiritual Healing should touch and awaken the soul of man, and make him aware of not only his origin but also of his destiny.
