A Child Visits the Spirit World |
|
Here's another case related to Stephen O'Brien in which that he often experienced as a child. When I was about ten years old I used to leave my body at night. I'd learnt a clever trick of sinking down through the mattress - in my other body - and then going further down again, right through into the middle space between my bedroom floor and our kitchen ceiling. I could clearly see all the thick, grey plastic-covered electrical cables, and plenty of fluff and dust, running the length of the wooden ceiling rafters. Then I'd fall further down again - through the floor - until I could see the kitchen ceiling above me. But I was always horizontal and looking upwards, never down. Whenever I decided I wanted to get back to my bed (and these were conscious decisions) I'd simply reverse the falling process - but going back was always much, much quicker, and then I'd be back inside my body. It was always so much easier to float down than to go back up - funny that. But whenever I was 'outside' of myself like this, I was always struck by the sense of peacefulness within me, and I was really happy to be light and floating. |
