Q: Is reincarnation a fact?

A: Well, it all depends on the mind you're questioning. Even in the Next World the spirit people are divided on this issue: some claim it as a fact, while others hotly deny it.

These are difficult concepts to grasp, ideas which liken your Spirit to a many faceted diamond, the segments of which are 'characterised' into Earth consciousness as different 'personalities', and yet they are all springing from the same Spiritual Source.

I believe that with God all things are possible, and therefore these opportunities are available; but you, as a personality, as a characterised soul, will not reincarnate. But what can return to Earth is another aspect your eternal mind.

Your Personality represents everything that you are now in your temporary physical consciousness - whereas your Spirit is the everlasting essence of you: it is the direct Life-Force which links you to the Great Spirit.

So in your current 'personalised' form, your physical expression is limited by time. When your physical body is gone, it cannot return again. You will not return as that personality. Instead, your soul, the eternal part of you will have moved on into everlasting life.

But another portion of your Spirit and Mind might decide to return to the Earth and express itself through a different 'personality', a different physical body. Another portion of your vast consciousness may decide to be 'characterised' once again into flesh, as a separate or 'new' personality. This means that your individual survival as the 'personality' that you currently recognise as yourself is assured.

But I doubt that reincarnation can be successfully proved. There are many other explanations that can nullify the reports which believers offer as evidence of their 'previous lives'.

Neither do I think reincarnation is as common an occurrence as some lead us to believe. If it happens, it occurs because our Spirits realise that there are more lessons to be learned or special tasks to be accomplished down here on this planet. Because of our free will and personal responsibility we ourselves would undertake these 'new' incarnations.

A Young Child speaks of Reincarnation:

This next snippet concerns a young spirit child who contacted his parents through Stephen to correct their thoughts on reincarnation.

The youngster's message came through during a private consultation I gave to an anxious couple who'd lost their only boy through cancer. He was just a toddler, but he managed to tell his surprised mother - who was now heavily pregnant again - 'I'm not coming back you know, Mum.'

Afterwards she explained, 'I thought this new child that I'm carrying would turn out to be my deceased son, reincarnating as another boy.' But from the spirit world her son had refuted this suggestion.

She then told me that she and her husband had been privately discussing this possible reincarnation just days before the consultation took place. But the bright-eyed spirit lad must have heard their ideas and decided to 'put them right'.

She later gave birth to a beautiful girl.
