A 'Dead' Soldier Returns and Contacts His Family |

|
Nothing could be more poignant than the tragic loss of life sustained on both sides when Britain and Argentina fought for possession of the Falkland Islands in the 1980s. Young Ian Dale, 19, was a Welsh Guardsman in a newly-formed Mortar Platoon that was down below decks of the British Ship Sir Galahad, when an Argentinean bomb from a plane shot down a hatch and ignited the ammunition pile that he and his platoon were guarding. Ian, and some of his friends, died instantly… But this young soldier later communicated from the Other Side of Life to Stephen O'Brien, who then passed on Ian's messages to his parents: they were strangers to the medium, but present at one of his public meetings. One of the many simple facts that this soldier relayed cannot be explained away as 'telepathically reading the recipients' minds' - a charge with which some sceptics and researchers accuse mediums. During the communication, Ian told his mother about 'a special tie' which he was adamant that he had 'given away' to someone. 'No,' his mother said; and she held up an object which was clasped tightly in her hands. 'He means this button off his cap.' But the soldier did not agree, and he repeated again to Stephen: 'No; it's a special tie that I gave away, Mum.' Mrs Shirley Dale's confusion was cleared when Ian's spirit-evidence was later verified by her younger son, Philip, who was stationed in an English Army Camp, far away from his family home in Wales. Philip was astonished that his mother should know about his 'dead' brother's tie, (which turned out to be Ian's No 2 Army tie); and Mrs Dale wrote to Stephen O'Brien, stating: 'I researched the evidence about that tie, and he'd given it to his younger brother, Philip, the day that he'd packed to go to the Falkland Islands. 'I was amazed because we knew nothing about it.' |
